HOW OFTEN DOES PWR MEET?
PWR SML meets on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm at Ippy’s Restaurant.
During that time we have dinner featuring two member speakers. Each meeting allows members to introduce their business with a 60 second commercial and the group participates in referral exchanges.
Please note that members are required to miss no more than two meetings per calendar year.
HOW DO I JOIN PWR?
Simply fill out the application form (link) or see any current member of PWR. Your application will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. The Membership Chair will contact you after your application has been reviewed to inform you of your status.
WHAT ARE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS AND FEES?
Members are required to be non-competing, well-connected female business professional who have been working within their category for an extended period of time.
Yearly fees are $75 and are due no later than February 1st or upon joining. Dinner is $20 per person and active members are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings. PWR also hosts a minimum of three socials that members can use to make up a missed meeting.
The Reservations Chair will send out a reminder each month with a deadline for RSVPs. If you fail to make the meeting and do not let Reservations know by the deadline, you will be charged for your dinner.
IS THERE A SPECIFIC BUSINESS THAT PWR IS LOOKING FOR?
PWR is looking for any non-competing business. Please visit our current Membership Directory to see if your category is open.
If your category is filled, we encourage you to submit an application for the board to keep on file in the event that the category becomes available.
HOW IS PWR DIFFERENT FROM OTHER NETWORKING GROUPS?
Traditional networking groups tend to follow a rigid structure of referral quotas and high membership dues. PWR was built with the knowledge that people do business with those that they trust. Our meeting environment is comfortable, welcoming and educational. We take the time to get to know one another personally and professionally. By building that strong foundation of trust, referrals flow effortlessly.
Membership dues are reasonable and there are no mandatory referral quotas. PWR also meets monthly, not weekly, giving members the flexibility to attend meetings while continuing to build their business. We also meet in the evening so that members do not have to leave during business hours to attend a meeting.
